That's because owners of a stock n/a motor don't rev it to 5k and drop the clutch 20 times every day.

Sure... the motor will go 250k-300k if you drive it like grandma does.

idk, my friend drove his car probably harder than I do and it lasted for 280k on the original motor before it finally spun a bearing... of course, his was like more stock than mine is... Even then, his motor still ran, it just had epic amounts of rod knock, and was moving the head around lol

^^^ also drives a firebird drag car so he knows what power is. But Agreed a turbo Z is better than a stock NA Z. Now if you have a Stroker 3.1 then yah N/A...

lol, I'll laugh when my stock displacement NA build beats you :P (EDIT: no wait, it's gonna be a 2.9 damnit, not stock displacement :P lol)

You forgot about my dad's 9 second Pontiac-powered GTO and the fact that he also has his own machine shop...

i took the muffler off of my z and i sounded much better...my z has no upgrades...its all original other than my muffler delete.
sounds nice imo and isnt too loud if you are still running the cat.

the first thing i did when i got my zxt running was took the muffler off, then the cat and the turbo whistled oh man it was a beautiful sound, i hate mufflers what the point of being a car enthusiast if you cant enjoy the sound of the engine?
