So I've read that the stock spring retainers have a max lash pad size of .160.. I call rebello racing and they said that a .260 pad would be just fine in the stock retainer... I need a .260 with my .080 shaved p79 and my 280 duration cam .460 lift. So what to do? Experiences? Nismo?

 

I've never messed with changing lash pads... so I can't help ya there. But it sounds like the books "How to rebuild Datsun OHC engine" and "How to modify Datsun OHC engine" have details on lash pads. I believe I have one of those books in my library... I'll have to dig through it when I have time.
