Injectors not pulsing

Hey guys, currently working on an 83 NA to 83 Turbo swap and I'm having major trouble. We have spark, but no fuel, and the injectors aren't pulsing.

The fuel pump IS working, and there is fuel getting to the fuel rail. We are using an HEI module instead of an ignitor, I believe it's wired correctly.

I don't know what else to do, I'm about to lose my mind.

Have you checked voltage at the injector pigtails?

yes, both are reading voltage, even when the key is off ...

Then that means the injectors are wired properly - check the schematics like I was saying in the other thread - it's hooked through the fuseable link right to the battery.

I checked it all. I mean to be honest I'm not sure what I'm supposed to be seeing, but the fusible links (BR and G wires) have power, and everything is grounded. Supposedly theres an LED on the ecu? I'm not sure if the ecu is bad or not :/

Do you have access to another turbo ecu?

I'll just rip that SOB out lol

Thanks nismo.

My connections make sense (to me at least) I honestly don't know what's wrong. I mean I'm not a master at wiring, so I'm kinda nervous. Just bought a new ecu for $40 with shipping, steal if you ask me. It's about 60 degrees here today and sunny (LOL one sunny day for ever 20 in PA) so I'll check everything again and try to make sense of what I missed. Thanks for the help guys

Wish me luck!

BTW before I left for school again in january, we definitely had fuel, but no spark. Now it's the other way around. There is nothing hooked to the HEI from the distributor besides a ground wire and the main spark cable, and I'm certain that the HEI module is wired correctly. WTH am I missing?

okay, maybe i can help here. i had the same problem, and a mechanic was telling me it was a bad ecu. i went through and unplugged one injector at a time and tried to start the car in between, (re plugging in the last injector) to see if the car would start. turns out, because the injectors are wired in series, one bad injector can cause none of them to pulse. $80 and i'm back on the road.

think of it like a strand of christmas lights. when 1 goes out, the whole dang string wont work.

Pull the plug off the ECU, blow out both connectors and smack them around a little and plug it back in. Sounds crazy but has fixed every EFI s30 and s130 I have found dead on the road that wouldn't fire.

Please help

So I am currently experiencing this issue with not having a pulse on the injectors. I have spark and I have fuel coming back from the return. I have a 1983 280zx 2+2 if that makes a difference.

Thank you
