extra horsepower?
Anyone want an extra 15-20 horsepower? My best friend is becomeing a supplier of computer modification chips, the average retail is $180 he will be selling them for $90, they will work with damn near any fuel-injected cars and are extremely easy to install! I will be getting more detailed info soon. post, PM, or e-mail me at mainframe_juggalo@comcast.net if you are interested. Thanks in advance my fellow power-hungry Z drivers!

it hooks onto or replaces your O2 sensor and makes the comp. and engine think that the air coming in is below 32 degrees. when the air is that cold your engine puts out a hellova lot more power, average gain between 15-20, my buddys cavvy with one of these chips gained 27whp! that is after many other mods, but you get the piont. basically, tricks engine thinking it's really cold air, you gain a bunch of power, will not hurt your engine! my buddy has had his in for almost 2 years, works like a charm! Any other ?'s just post em, if you want info on how to ourchase one, either pm me or e-mail me. thanks again guys, JR

heh, I bought one of these things for my 350Z last year... they work, but there is a risk. I am not dissing it, I know a lot of domestic guys that use these things at the drag strip, but I dunno if I would use it every day.... it's just a little resistor from Radio Shack... guys on ebay sell em for about 3.99.

Exactly. I was going to say its just another one of those eBay scams. Adjust the signal to your head temp sensor with a volume control from Raio Shack. You can adjust it on the fly and it will not add 15 or more horsepower. All you can do is change the fuel mixture slightly.

If all it does is make the ECM think the air is colder (which is so out of date that modern piggyback controllers can't interface directly with it), it sounds kind of iffy. The reason an engine makes more power with colder temperatures is because of the denser air, not because the engine management thinks, "Oh hey, it's cold now, I'll put out an extra 15hp now". If the intended effect is to have the ECM try and inject more fuel to warm up what it thinks is a cold engine, then the money is better spent on proper fuel management than a "trick".

sorry guys, i was just telling you what I was told, i'm still ignorant to a lot of automotive things, especially electrical! That is the main reason I found this sight! I am glad that you knew the things that I didn't, and didn't spend that money, so once again I appolagize.

id rather spend 100 on a rising rate FPR which will give me numbers then a chip in the car.. some cars are designed to run leaner and the chip corrects that imbalance to give you the HP youre losing due to the condition by telling the computer to manipulate certain settings.. Heat Rave R is right.. itd be much better to invest in a fuel management syetm and surely produce numbers raher rely on a chip that MAY produce numbers thats usually geared towards cars with little or no mods on factory specs

Well, ya'll know what they say about "If it's too good to be true"... If someone impartial dynos one on a Z, I'd be interested in seeing the results. Hehe, I know I'm going to dyno test one of those "Tornado" intake things later this year, just for fun.

or do as bleach suggested an put one int each intake and maybe strap one just past the throttle for that added spin.hahaha maybe thatll be good for an extra 50HP?? (they advertise 5-15hp gain right?)
I shall then call my Z the Tornado Z
(yes, im kidding)
