Re: Extra Performance
Run with a spacer uder the hood latch so that the hood can't close and then it will rise up once you hit 60 mph.
This alone should pick you up close to two tenths.Of course I am running dual K&N's so your gains may not be as much if you are running the stock airbox.
REmove the spare and all unnecessary weight and run about 6 gallons of fuel.
If its not a dusty area try a run or two with the filter cover removed.
If possible run an open header.
Richen your fuel mixture on the SU's a half turnor more and disconnect your positive lead wire on your altenator as well as loosening the belt a bit.
Run 22 psi in your back tires and be certain to do a good burnout.
You WILL pick up a tenth of a second by doing a burnout even on crappy street tires.
Don't let your car run and heat up in the staging lanes, instead just push it a little at a time.
Clean the tip of your distributor rotor with smooth sandpaper.
Get your sparkplugs indexed so that the gap between the electrode tip and ground wire face the intake valve.
Just try swapping different plugs and get it as close as you can or use varying thickness washers.
Bump your timing up to 32-36 degrees and run only 93 octane fuel.
Your run is based more on your first 60 ft so try and hold the throttle at 4000 rpm and then dump the clutch.
DON'T FLOOR IT until you feel like the tires are starting to hook up.
And finally, don't diss anyone else's ride no matter how badly you beat them! This will save you tons of grief if you keep your mouth shut and let your timeslips do the talking!

Re: Extra Performance
NAh, I am a very long way from being the 11 sec dude!
Last year was horrible, it seemed like everytime I hit the track something went bye bye. The previous year I broke absolutely nothing, so it figured last year would be a disaster! LOL
Although I am hoping to hit 12.5's sometime this year with new slicks a few other speed tricks.
