Boring recommendations

So here's my wear on the engine that I'm rebuilding.

Standard is 86.000 mm and here's what I have

Cylinders 1,2,3,5 and 6 are mic'd at 86.0425 and cylinder 4 is 86.0679 with the maximum wear being 86.1mm. What bore recommendations do you have for me, considering I need to buy new pistons and rings now that I destroyed my previous ones. Would a .5 mm overbore be too much? I'm going to buy ITM's pistons from a distributor right by my school. As for the boring and honing I might have a machine shop do the boring, or I might take a crack at it myself. Any tips or recommendations?

If 89mm is not too much for the 3.1L stroker, then 86.5mm or 87mm isn't too much.

My point of view is to go 1mm overbore for two reasons:
#1: If you are going bigger, GO BIG... not just "kinda big".
#2: .5mm (.020) rings are (or at least used to be) hard to find.

if your gonna bore and have to get new pistons might as well go out to 89mm
itl make it a 2.9L

(get a diesel crank and 9mm rods and youve got yourself a 3.1L stroker)

and compared to an 86.5/87mm bore itl be easier to get pistons and rings too

89mm = KA24

Is this going turbo, or are you just going to run it N/A?

KA has so many aftermarket for it it's nuts. 'If they don't make for your engine. make your engine for them"

just had to throw "second" in there didn't you ya bastard....

I've decided to go with .003" oversized from ITM obviously I have to bore it out, so should I bore it to .0028 and leave some for the hone? Or maybe .0026.

Thoughts....ideas....experiences? i'm all eyes

.003" or .030" ? There's a big difference. Does ITM provide the ring kit for that size piston too?

Take the block, pistons, crank, and rings to the machine shop & say: please bore & install these.

its east but the crank would be spendy, but just doing an 89mm bore will make it a 2.9L

Just as I imagined. Have you called MSA on these? http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/PROD/10-4033

Have you called Nissan?
