recommendations, anyone??

I went by my mechanic's shop today and the Z is looking good, he's got the whole engine/tranny ripped out, and getting ready to drop in my 350/700R4 setup. He said it would still be about another 3 weeks but no rush... I will have ALL parts from that engine (incl. N/A AFM and ECU) and the tranny (GREAT condition) for sale shortly.

I have the analog clock (of course it doesn't work) gauge on the far right of the center gauge cluster, is it possible to hookup the later model digital clock in my 79? Also, is there any other gauge I might should think about putting in the clock's place? Lemme know

Jabo

Check out autometers site, they have a bunch of gauges to put in it's place. Besides if you replace the stock stereo head unit, you'll have a clock on there anyways.

You can never moniter too many engine parameteres. Actually, I probably wouldn't opt for a boost gauge on your 350. Unless of course you turbo it.

I found this site on the net, I'll have to dig it up, but they take old Z clocks and make them work again. Let me know if you want the link.

Yeah I saw that the other day, i think it was on ZBarn or something... I am trying to steer away from the analog clock though

As long as the connectors match up, you should be able to run a digital clock.

Yea, my digital clock stopped working a long time ago, just after it got stolen actually. Has to be something with the fact that instead of nicely disconnecting the harness, they ripped and cut and broke everything . . . . . I mean how inconsiderate can you be?! Anyways, could i get that site?
