Boost Gauge Reading
Boost Gauge Reading
I just replaced all the vacuum lines on my Z. I started her up and the boost gauge is kicking all the way past 7 and staying there at idle. Any ideas on a possible problem? Any help is appreciated.
Just checked and it's a P90 A, so I will assume hydrolic. I seem to have a slight tick when I first start it up over #6 cylinder. I might have a weak lifter.
On another note is there a way to check the boost sensor to see if it's still good? Oh, and thanks for the help so far.

figured out the boost issue. it was plugged in to the wrong connector. And also pulled the valve cover and checked. Looks like I might have a weak lifter. I'll just run a heavier weight oil for now. Thanks for your help Nismopick.
duowing the info is on another forum, but here is the link It really helped me out.
On a side note, has anyone had any experience with running some engine flush through the system prior to oil change? I was thinking of doing this, but was concerned with damaging the engine.
