AFM Question

Hello! My engine is having a misfiring problem when I get to a certain rpm range. I was testing the air flow meter on my car with an ohmmeter, and I found that some of the terminals are not meeting the resistance requirements as stated in the factory service manual. So, here's my question. What do each of the six wires that connect to the AFM do? Wire by wire. I really need to know what each one does so that I can get a better understanding of what's happening with the AFM. My car is a 1982 280zx non turbo by the way.

study the schematics and read the description all will be clear. also look up the fuel injection bible on line and read it. Made for the earlier cars but should make you smarter on what is going on with the system.
