79 Exhaust Manifold

Looking for some expertise on exhaust manifolds for the S130. I have a 79 base model coupe (California Emissions) with a warped exhaust manifold with the casting number P71 same as the intake.... I have been looking for a replacement for awhile but did not realize that this casting number was going to be so difficult to find. I have had several responses but not the casting I am looking for? I'm not an expert here but is this manifold the same as F54, P90, N42, or N33 manifolds? what are the differences? I would like to find another P71 manifold but I can use one of the other casting numbers listed I would appreciate any assistance you can provide. Or maybe someone has a P71 they are willing to part with. I want to finish putting my gasket and manifold assembly ASAP.

HELP PLEASE!!!!

Thanks,

Phil

What cylinder head do you have? Does the exhaust manifold have an o2 sensor?

I will need to check on the cylinder head number tomorrow. I can confirm it does not have an O2 sensor. I will get back to you tomorrow on the head number.

Thanks Nismo!

Also need to know if the exhaust ports are round or rectangular. I believe I still have an exhaust manifold from my 76 280z that doesn't have an o2 sensor port.

Apparently there are two distinct styles of stock L6 exhaust manifolds, skinny and fat. Evidently Nissan engineers couldn't make up their minds and they switched back and forth. From what I can tell my P71 manifold is the
"Fat Type" with round ports. I will stop by the shop after work today and get that Head number you asked about.

Thanks,

Phil
