Mostly... no.

Actually, you can buy a set of Corbeau seats and pay another $80/seat for their 280ZX 'adapters'. I still had to modify the mount points on the 'adapters' to get them to fit right in my car.

Key point here is 'modafied'. He wanted direct bolt-in with no modifications required.

L-Dub made a sticky for this topic.... https://www.zdriver.com/forums/showt...ght=honda+seat

Also, I think it was Bleach, or Rod, er somebody around here that stuffed Honda CRX seats in the 280zx w/ little modification.

I just did the CRX seat install and it took quite a bit of work, seems that mine were a bit different then the ones in the writeup as far as fitment goes..

I put CRX seats in my car. I modified the 280ZX brackets to fit them to the Honda seat. Then it bolted in. Took only a couple hours to figure it out and install.

I've found the key to be re-using the stock brackets/sliders on the new seats.

Trying to modify 'universal' sliders/brackets to fit our floors is a little harder.

i mounted some apc racing seats, with no sliders directly to the stock mounting points using parts of the stock sliders, hard to fit, but they sit low and comfy

Same. My install wasn't that far off from what you had posted, i just had different spacing between the holes on the seat than what you had posted and i had to set up the spacers a bit differently to get everything on the seat to clear the rails.

There's no need for a welder if you do the CRX seat swap. Just a grinder and some sockets..

The 280z seats bolt right onto the 81-83 280zx, I just put one into my driver side. I feel safer cornoring with them then those weird luxery style seats.

240z, 260z, 280z seats will bolt into 280zx??

So let me just make sure here...

early seats are a bolt-in affair (read -0- modifications)? Seems there are alot more nice stock seats for the early cars.

thanks
