hey i might be the only one thats wanted to do this or maybe im not. just curious. anyone swapped an s30 dash into an s130?? because im gonna be doin alot of heavy work with my zx and just playin around with ideas in my head. do they line up well or not at all etc mounting n what not.

 

Anything is do-able, and someone has likely done it... I'm not sure why tho, it's not an "upgrade" nor does it match the S130 ergonomics as well as the S130 dash.

If you've got hours and hours to burn, start measuring and get to work!

 

Lol cmon now.. the creations that come out of my garage are not based upon ergonomics.. and im not going for an 'upgrade'. im just thinking because of the s30 dash having the individual gauge circles for speedo/tach and after i do my swap im thinking of doing 100% aftermarket gauges instead of the stockers. and i dont likely feel like fabricating a plate to put in the s130 dash.. unless the fabrication for an s30 dash would take a hell of alot more. but well see ive got time to waste and ideas to throw so. i will get on it and let you know what i find..

 

Somewhere on here I posted a pic of a 280zx cluster w/ aftermarket speedo / tach gauges. The guy just removed the stock ones & installed the Autometer ones. Looked great.

 

i found it, idk yet what im gonna do yet if i keep the s130 dash i have to get a dash cap or another dash

 

i think theres a vid on you tube of this guy doing or has done a s30 dash swap and it looked nice as hell.... cant find it but i think they said it was the perfect length but as you can imagine, it would be a hell of alot of work...
