Light covers or no light covers?

What do you think looks better, with the headlamp covers or without the headlamp covers?

I like both but can't decide which I like better.

Well, they're easy to remove, so just get em, and on a day you feel like going coverless, just take em off. The coverless look is more "classic"-looking (not to mention, legal), but covered looks "different" (at least until everyone else has them).

My ZX had smoked covers, when I purchased it. i liked them then. Now that I have completed my V-8 conversion, I prefer the look without them, so I removed them.

Nice looking v8 ZX. Are those 16" wheels ?

As far as legality goes in Florida, the clear ones,(the ones I have),are legal but the smoked ones aren't so legal, but you could probably get away with 'em.

I like them and plan to buy some clear covers. The smoked ones look ok, but our headlights are bad enough as is! I would never make my headlight beam worse.

In California, "anything" in front of the headlights, or even license plates, like clear plastic covers, are considered illegal. Most cops are unlikely to pull you over just for that, but they can if they want.

I believe the same applies in Washington, although on our own DMV website main page it once said clear license plate covers are legal. Then in the actual letter of the law they are listed as not legal.

Any modifications to the exhaust of a car from factory specs is illegal. How about illegal window tint? I wonder how many times people really get tickets for it. I see so much illegal stuff on the road. Then I take my front plate off for a couple weeks and get pulled over right away!

I got a tint ticket about 6 months ago, $66.00 for having 5% window tint(sides only).

(But I had that shade of tint for more than 2 years)

I have the clear and they are alright. As far as tint goes I have heard, but I am not positive, that here the back and rear side windows can be any shade but the drivers and pass. side windows have to be 35% or higher. I drove around with 5% all around for about 3 years before selling the car and I never got in trouble even when I did get pulled over for other stuff. I really guess it depends on the cops mood that day.

i had a cop hand me a razor blade and tell me to scrape my tint off.... i politely told him to go **** himself.... (yah i used that wording too) he cant make me damage my own property nor can he damage it himself.... ive also been in a buddies car and he has interior blue neons, they told him to tear them down, he also gave them the finger, parents, let your kids know that just cause theyre underage and a cop doesnt agree with theyre taste in cars, theyre bound to get messed with, the cop CAN ask you to disable the lights, we just pulled the fuse for the neons, but he cant ask you to destroy them.... not unless he impounds the car.... and other than california i dont know of anywhere they can impound your car for a minor infraction like that....

im gonna stop there before this turns into a right wing rant.... you guys take it eaZy
