Have you checked all your fuses and fuseable links? Also making sure the signal wire to the starter is connected?

When you turn it over that way you are by-passing the ecu and ignition which are turned on with the key. There are two wires coming from the battery to the ecu. One + and one -. When you turn the key on you should hear a click from under the dash. If you hooked the battery up wrong then you may have fried something. Buy an inexpensive muti tester, download the FSM from xenons30, (donate $5) and start checking everything. If you get stuck post it.
