how does this starter come out

ok well ive been working on getting the beast up and runniing but i cant get the starter out??? do i have to take off the exhaust to get it out??...ill trade anyone right now for a rusted out supra

what year is your car 87-89 the starter and exhhuast are on opposite sides of the car theres 2 bolts that hold the started up,remove the starter then disconnecting the wires is the easier of doing it but dont put any unneeded wait on those cables.

a supra anyday

its an 87 and it seems that there is some kind of heat shield or something because i got the one bolt going the conventional way and the one bolt going the other way and the damn thing wont budge at all. And if i were able to trade it for a supra..anything is faster than a car that wont run because i cant even get the starter out.
