Why new pads?? I replaced them 2 months before you got the car. You been running solo or something haha

Seriously just take her to the carwash and celan out behind the wheels. Brake dust wll cause squeaking if there is ehough accumulated. Or replace them, its ur car.

man, i dunno honestly. can't do the brakes till the hobby shop opens back up. they're close cuz they redoing their roof. but Lady must be engaging one brake before the others or something. i can hit the brakes, and she pulls in a random *** direction. its not even a consistent direction.

Sounds like the whole system needs to be rebuilt. Master cylinder, rear brake cylinders front calipers all need disassembled and rebuilt. Also purge the lines untill you have clear fluid. You can try just bleeding them to see if that helps.

replaced the monstrously dented front driverside fender with a less dented one. its primer grey and already has the holes drilled for zg flares.
Replaced the broken power antena with a regular black antena.
Retuned the carbs (again. Can't wait for my syncrotester to get here)
Have some second hand door panels coming (freebie)
Solid upper diff mount coming (thezstore.com)
new ignition switch coming (black dragon auto)
And last but not least, i finally got some new rear view mirrors.
cold as **** outside, wind blowin like crazy, and the screw holding the old driver side rearview mirror on was rust, so when i tried to remove it, it ended up wallowed out. so when i couldn't get it off, i got pissed off, and ripped it off. Lucky for me they're designed to break away. (i think) So now, the shiniest part of the car is the rear view mirrors.

Peice by ity bity peice.

Can 240/early260z front bumpers mount to the later 260z? and if modification is required, how much?

i dont. thats crap. lol nothing of interest other than the mount i spose, and its still no RT mount. which i gotta get btw if i ever do my high comp or supercharger build....

also, im parts happy myself, i got a light weight flywheel coming and a new MSA header on its way to mi casa. then i think im gonna just buy an engine hoist and perhaps stand. cause i need one. then once my car is fully sold, maybe ill undulge and get a mig welder. and maybe i can talk my dad into splitting some of the cost as well... if not, ima need suggestions on finding an affordable but good mig/tig (even though tig is nuts expensive) welder.... any one wanna donate? ill pay shipping! lol.

Took the passenger seat out a while ago, and the right side is slowly becoming a toolbox. The car is its own mobile garage for the most part. interior panels are coming out one by one in the pursuit of burned out bulbs, gas filler lines, wires, and rust. and to my amazement, the interior light actually DID work. just needed a fuse. Who knew?

Only had an hour and a half to do anything with today, so i got the new ignition switch installed and a some wires ran but not connected for the horn button. Turns out a horn is a legal requirement for the state of Oklahoma.

Replaced fuses all the way around, with the exception of the A/C fuse. (no compressor, no fuse) And with the aid of the Syncrotester got the carbs synced up and tuned in for real. the realization that i've been adjusting the AF mixture instead of the idle screw really helped me out. (its the simple things that make you wanna slap yourself.) And thats about it for today.

replaced the diff mount. original one came off in two different peices. Noticed while i was changing it that the control arm bushings are shot. they need to be replaced. I dropped the gas tank and got the passenger side Bumper strut off. Removed the exhaust pipe to get it out of the way and because i was Going to replace the manifold. shop closed before i could replace it, and i didn't have time to put the exhaust pipe back on, so the car is OBNOXIOUSLY LOUD! Usually i have to rev the engine a little to set the car alarms off at the dorms. now i just have to start the car. and it backfires.

thanks snw. good to know you're watchin my back.

got the exhaust manifold swapped today. so now i have about 1ft of tailpipe. my full exhaust pipe is locked in the hobby shop until tuesday.
got some door panels. black. freebies
got two speaker boxes. they're mounted just behind the seats. freebies.
and got a full spring set (used but still good, and stiffer) for $30.00

also took the fusible links and all associated "modules" that were just hanging down or sitting under tha battery box and remounted them to the car.

Oh, and Justin. You're airfilter setup is a PITA to take off and put back on.

if all this is in a hobby shop, it makes me think that you are working on this with exacto knives and super glue...

if you are backfiring, you need to go back to messing with those a/f mixture screws. toooooooo rich. and not in a good way.

eric, why are you after a welder so bad now that you are getting rid of your older cars to get a much newer and sturdier one? seems like you will be in much less need... but granted, with or without the car, you can do some sweet stuff with a welder
