is it possible to run electric air condtioning?
I was just curious, has anybody tried to run an updated AC compressor and system using a low draw dc motor and maybe an upgraded alternator? I was just thinking about different ways to make either a no parasitic or low parasitic AC system as compared to keeping it on the belt system. Ultimate goal would be so it can be off the belt, but still have AC. I havent looked into what kind of power would be needed to run a compressor at a required speed in order to maintain a specific pressurized system, but just wondering if anyone else has thought of any ideas.
I wasn't sure if I should put this in off topic or a different category so ADMINS, FEEL FREE TO MOVE, open to all cars, not just s30's

I love the "is it possible?" questions.
Anything is possible with enough money, time, and skill.
Try GOOGLE: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&s....0.CQtbMGya3ME
EDIT... not to be a total smart ***, but doesn't everyone learn the phrase "Nothing is impossible" in 1st grade?

I think when everyone says "is it possible" assumes that everyone is assuming they mean in a relatively easy and relatively cheap manner. haha
