to electric fan, or not to electric fan?

i have been looking at the electic fans for a while, i remember when my freind with an rx-7 switched to an electric fan and it seemed to rev alot freer. but the only site i have found that sells one is z1, are there any others? i know that it is not going to cool with the eficiency of the stock one most likely but i dont drive the car all the time mostly at night and maby during the day to go to the track or work to fix little things. i was just wondering if any of you had one or would get one.

IMO, other mods first would be more benefical that you could put your money towards.

CZP sells a dual electric fan for 160... honestly, just save a few more bucks, and get a UD pulley for like 212 instead... more horsepower and such...

some people say an e-fan wont make a difference, but it is some strain off your motor. some also say it bad for the car for it only blows one speed, and it might not blow strong enough for high rpms for long durations, causing a lot of heat in the motor.

personally, id say stick with the stock and do an underdrive like neopolitanicecream said.(j/k, your name reminds me of that )

Heh it's cool. Friend of mine actually talked to Coz at CZP about it and Coz said it isn't worth it bc of what yo usaid about it not blowing hard enough and stuff. The ONLY thing I like about them is they are asteically (SP??) pleasing and free up ALOT of room in the engine bay, but thats about it. But I can handle undoing 4 small bolts to take the clutch fan off when i'm working on the car.

Is your car a NA or TT? If it is a NA you can buy a 1989 to 1994 NIssan Maxima electric fan.. IT bolts right up to the radiator with some trimming of the fan shroud. Very Easy install..and I would recommend it even without any other mods. It makes working on the engine ALOT easier with the mechanical fan gone

Maxima probably wouldn't provide enough cooling. IF i was going to eletric fan, i'd use this one... I wish I would of seen this radiator before I ordered my OEM stock one, it isn't that much more expensive.. but yah anyways....
