The AC needs to be recharged, needs some sort of older fluid that isn't made anymore.

Any ideas where i can get this from?

The fluid is called "R12 FREON". Legally you must have a license to work on freon systems, but "technically" you can just buy a recharge kit from ebay and do it yourself (if you know what you are doing).

Heard it's hard to get ahold of the stuff but cools off alot better than the r134

 

Well shoot, check Craigslist. A few days ago someone here was offering R12 at $10 a can.
