How to replace the ignition lock (1982)
Ok I got the ignition lock assembly out of the car (those self sheering screws weren't too difficult) so now I got a big ol' assembly with an arm that goes out to the steering shaft. The new part I have is just the actually mechanism that lets the key turn...how the heck do I get that out of the part I have and the new one in?

...really, you only have the small metal part?
I would of thought that you have at least the plastic surround with new rear terminals. See attached image. Is this what you have, or is it just the center piece of this?
