Re: grrr...I hate rust
well i hate to say this and you will probly dissagree with me until you realize it, but Unless you were born in that 280zx or your mom or something for you to have a strong emotional attachment to that Perticular car, Get rid of it and find a 280zx with zero underbody rust. Its not impossible, or even implausible, My previous 280zx had Rust under the body which was starting to get dangerous, so i sold it and found a z-that same day and bought it with zero rust under the body, only rust thats on my z is surface body rust EASILY remedied. I'm sorry im the one to have to tell you this a complete stranger. Sorry bud i know you think your 280zx is a good car but your wrong, i thought i was going to fix my 280zx up but i finaly realized man this car is a peice of [censored]! So i found the one i have now im the second owner, it has 103,000 miles on it has working a/c and doesn't over heat, it handles very similar to a 93 mitsubishi eclipse, Which if you don't know how they handle(They handle extremly well!). In corners and braking eveything is tight about my car, It has been siting for 9 years which explains the body rust but besides that i know how to get it to top shape. So start looking around.

Re: grrr...I hate rust
It's a lot of time and money to replace the floor pans and frame rails in a car, unless you're willing to spend mega bucks and more time that humenly imaginable, it's better to get a better body car and transplant the soul of your current car into it... it's totally up to you, but depending on how bad it is and how much you can afford to spend, well that's all it depends on... Good luck!
