Well, I managed to make one run out of three that counted for a time! (I got 1:12) The fastest car ran 1:04 and the slowest was around 1:40 so I'm somewhere in the middle.
There were three 510's two 240Z's and one 300ZXT...pretty good Datsun turnout!
Now if only I could afford some really good tires....

 

Don't even start on the wish list! If I could have even half the stuff I *need* for my car...

Anyway today was my first time out at this kind of event, and my best time was 1:28, not too shabby for not having a single clue what I was doing when I got there. But there were only a few VIDE members running the course, it would have been nice to see a few more on the track, but more came to watch the event. I must say, it's just as fun to watch as it is to drive. Ok, not quite as much fun, but it's really close =)

Next event will be (in Victoria, BC) at Memorial Arena on July 8th at 11am, get there early if you plan to run, they're expecting to have to turn people away as the limit is 40 drivers. See you there!!!

 

I heard today that the fast time was actually a 1:01 by the fully race-prepped mini that was tearing up the track...oh well, I am still somewhere in the middle, only now I will have to spend even more money to be competitive with the fast guys!

 

Hey! You're closer to the fast guys than I am to you! What are you complaining about? besides, I bet I'd get faster times in your car than I would in mine =)
