engine problems help

hi there peps i just bought a 78 280z and it will start and idle great bet as soon as i give it any throtle it bogs and wants to die but then wen i let off the throttle in goes back to idleing like a dream if there is anyone that can help i would really apriciate it thank you
oh and if anyone would kno the color number for the pearls that would be awsome also trying to see if it is a pearl because it is black and the paint looks original thank you

Welcome to ZDriver!

Have you checked the basics???
Timing?
Fuel pressure?
Spark?
Read the plugs?

Also, if you haven't bought a Haynes manual yet, I suggest doing so, or download the FSM here: www.xenons30.com/reference

it has spark and its getting fuel the timeing is set an 10 advanced on nuimber 1 wats the gap on the plugs in the car and how do you check fuel pressure

Also check the sensors & connections. Mainly the AFM & coolant temp sensor (square 2prong on the thermostat housing).

so i found out some dumb *** put a 240 afm on it so i have to get that and a cold start valve because it is cracked and is giveing it an air leack and a fuel regulater and a fuel filter and it will be all fixed really apriciate all your help thank you

ok so i went and bought a amf for my car and it still ran like **** then i changed the fuel filter and still runs like **** so should i check my injectors and compression and fuel psi wat should it have for compression and wat should the fuel psi be
