6 years

Okay, it's technically 5 years and 10 months. But I finally legally drove my Z out of the garage and out on to the streets. Hope to cruise a little bit this weekend, and find a nice place to take a picture or two, mebbe post 'em here. I haven't had a day this good in a long, long time. I just can't stop smiling. Hope everyone else has a great weekend, too!
cheers,
Dave

Roger that on the pics! And without further ado...
One is taken from the Boulder Valley overlook on US 36, the other is at NCAR Mesa Lab in Boulder (you'll have to rotate it yourself, due to the x-size/y-size photo limitations for upload, sorry).
cheers,
Dave
Note: yes, I'm missing a couple of bumper ends. But I wasn't going to wait any more. They'll be on in a week or so.

looks great but yet that muffler looks low. you should look into turning it over or something. hate to gas it and drag the muffler.

Thanks everyone!

Yes, I think the muffler's too low, too. I haven't had it drag except on the crappy "rollover" no-curb-cut driveway entrance at my house (gotta go at a really shallow angle to get in/out). But I'd still like it tucked up there a bit more. Believe it or not, that's the stock fit of the MSA premium kit with the 6:1 header. I even "adjusted" (bent) it up a little from what it was. There's a local muffler shop that does great work, so I'm going to have them re-weld the flange on the back piece to rotate the whole assembly up.

Getting the best accessory of all today, legal collector plates! Passed the emissions test with ease, but my gas cap didn't seal well enough to pass. $5 and a free re-test, and I'm good to go. I knew I should've just bought a new one "while I was at it".

cheers,
Dave

Will try to snap more pictures soon. Every time I get near the car, though, I just end up driving it for an hour or two and forget to stop for photos! Interior's looking good now. I was able to repair some hard-to-get piecs (like the console trim that holds the center vents, map light, etc.).
cheers,
Dave

Time to come to one of the z club meetings. The next one on the 7th would be a good one as we may vote to donate another $1K toward the new track to get our own inscribed brick. ;-)

Can't wait to see it in person.

When/where? The domain name seems to be expired for www.zccc.org ?
thanks,
Dave

Sure thing! I'll take some more this week/end. The weather seems to be in a nice phase right now (he says, crossing his fingers...).
thanks!

I have a call into the web master, so I'm not sure where he is on renewing the domain name.

The board meeting starts at 6pm, the general membership meeting begins at 7pm. We meet at the Brooklyn's near mile high stadium. They are held the first wednesday of every month, which for May will be the 7th.

I'm still working on getting a CAMA rep to come to the meeting to answer a few questions, but with the track getting so close it seems no one has much time. I'm sure i can get at least one rep to come to the meeting.

I can also bring the short throw shifter in case you want to try it out for a few weeks.

Nice job BoulderZ!! The polished slots are sweet with the black paint!! Mine's almost there after 4 years. I had it out minus the interior and back glass 2 weeks ago and had a lot of fun. It felt like I was 16 again.
