Alrighty then i got an autometer rpm tach and so far i got the ground, the light, and the coil wire done and the base installed etc etc etc

MY ISSUE is... i cant seem to find the IGNITION wire that i need on the car . u knwo the one thats used to stay ON but turns off once the key is turned to ACC or OFF. sorry but ive been lookin for one of those wires all day and i cant find one. im pissed. and i seriouly need guidance :P lmao if anybody knows of any wires that get power once in the ON position but off in the ACC and OFF postion thad be GREAT if you could even tell me what COLOR(s) and wher ei can find them.they are for my 1971 240z that be great.

" sigh.. im exausted.. my hands numb... and its HELLA HOT OUTSIDE "

go under the dash, unplug the ignition and solder a wire to the middle wire of the 3 row column. thats your on position signal. thats a quik way to do it

Well i tried to test the power of all those wires that go to the ignition key but onle one of them turns the test light on (white thick cable) and when i turn the key on ACC and OFF the light stays on.. so thats no good. the other wires for some reason dont have power wich i thought was weird. the car runs fine and everything regardless. are there any other wires besides the one you mentioned? or could you somehow send me or post some sort of illustration that could be more DETAILED as to the wire you are reffering to that would be great :P haha im more of a VISUAL learner thats why.
