My tach has never worked in my analog 85 turbo... so I finally took off the steering wheel and pulled the cluster out. I had a extra analog tach from a 86 non turbo 5spd. so I put it in and it worked, I thought it was off because I was hitting 7300 rpms. then I went to my cousins and we checked the rpms with a "multimeter" hooked to coil and a ground and I reved it to 3k and it said 3k and I reved it to 4 it sayed 4, and 2.5 and it sayed 2.5. then we checked out my ecu and my cousin thinks its from a different year than 85... so I dont know its weird. but my tach said I hit 7000 to 7300 rpms, and it idles at right rpms too, just wondering if wrong ecu or different year tach has anything to do with this...
