Quick Question About Valve Adjustment
Hi All,
I feel like an idiot asking this because I've done this before, a long time ago, but here it goes.
Regarding valve adjustment, the book instructs you to adjust in a specific order, in two sequences (1st set of intake / exhaust valves and then then next set once the first set has been completed). Do you adjust them in that order with the cam lobe facing straight up at each valve (move the cam lobe so it faces straight up each time) or do you set the first valve to adjust (in both sequences) straight up and then leave the others where they sit?

Another way is to put the car in 4th gear and roll it forward untill the timing mark comes to "0". You can do half of the valves, which ones will be obvious ( lobe up). Then roll the the car till the timing mark comes up again and do the rest. The crank makes two turns per cycle.
