The tranny is out and I've replaced the rear seal. I was planning to replace the front seal but I'm now having second thoughts after looking at the way the transmission is designed. Unlike the newer transmissions where the front seal can be easily accessed, it appears as if I need to break the transmission apart.
Has anyone replaced a front seal on one of the early transmission 4 spds? Is it worth the hassle or should I go with what I have (old seal does not appear to be leaking, but the car sat for quite a while)?
