I recently upgraded from an XR700 optical ignition mod on my 73 240 and swapped to a 280ZX electronic ignition. I kept the old coil and ballast and I'm not sure if it is a 1.5 ohm or 3.0. I was wondering what the best coil to use with the ZX distributor on my setup. I have a 2.8 with the e-88 head and dual carbs. the car runs great as is but I would like to upgrade to a PerTronix Flame Thrower coil so the main question is what coil should I get and should I remove the ballast?

one last thing. are there any other mods that anyone uses that includes the ZX distributor that works great? I have read a little about the MSD Blaster II and im very open to suggestions.
