Running on 5

Hi,

I have been trying to fix a problem with my Z running on 5 and was hoping anyone would have any recommendations on what to look at?

Firstly the plugs have been changed and the PTU was cleaned as it had some corrosion on it and this seemed to fix the running on 5 problem but only for a very short period.

Also about a day or so ago I noticed the injector warning light has come on.This is the first time this has ever happened and did not accur from the very beginning of when the car started running on 5.

The car seems to always fire on 5 when cold but sometimes and rarely when warm the car fires on all 6.

So if anyone can possibly give some common problems that may be causing the above issue i'd greatly appreciate it.

Beez

I would check to make sure all your injectors have b/t 11 and 13 ohms of impedance, that is my first guess due to the fact i have had injector problemsvery similar to yours.
