Adding a proportioning adjuster to rear disc brake system

I have added the rear disc brake package to my 70/71 240. I have been told that it will need an auxillary adjustable proportioning valve to be "spliced" into the system. I have seen some in the car, where the E-brake normally would be, but I still have and use my e-brake. Additionally I have added ss brake lines throughout the car. Anyone have any recommendations to where the valve should go?

Thanks

I would probably install it somewhere under the hood, where the lines come down off of the firewall and along the frame rails, if I remember correctly.
