Steering wheel options

I know there are a few different options for steering wheels. The good old stocker (heavy), Grants (expensive) and MOMO (also expensive). Me on the other hand came across a nice OEM SW that I though would fit on to the column. After taking the stocker off and attempting to put the new one on I found out that it fits with no problem minus the hub cover is to small.

By now you are prob wondering what SW did I nab? Try a 1988 Dodge Daytona Shelby. So now I have a Caroll Shelby SW that looks ****. I'll post a pic of it tomarrow when it is light outside.

I went to go help a new guy in our local club with his 74 and he had the whole car sitting there. He already sold the 2.2t setup and all the windows were broken by hoodlums. I saw the SW and asked how much for it and he told me free if I could get it off the column with out a SW puller. So I just took a 3pd mallet and knocked it off.

This is what he told me

It is off a 88 CSX-T, 1 of 1,000 produced that year in Shelby's California Whittier plant. That was the whole years production out of Shelby's plant that year, all the car's were for Thirfty car rental, just like he did for Hert'z in the 60's. I've had 3 of them so far. The only problem is the whole Shelby group frowns on those cars. Most shows won't let you park w/ the rest of the Shelby's. Even though that car and most of the other Dodge's of that era are more Shelby than most of the Fords running around
