just been planning this out, i know ill have alot of critiscism
but i play on running an electric steering system using actuators to move the wheels using air bag shocks to control ride hieght and
custom making an electrically controlled wheel base (side ot side not front to back) as of right now i currently have about 90% of everything planned out all i need is money wich wont be hard to get since summers a week away and ill be working 2 job and 60 hours a week

the electric steering should sumwhat reduce car wheight and give the car a little more power b/c i wont be running a power steering pump and hence will not have any power steering components or poweresteering fluid in my car

what do you guys think? any question?

btw this is on a 88 turbo

umm i wouldnt say ur crazy but eh if you got money then shyt you can do anything .. just make sure that what you do will work if your gunna do AWS then you gotta have a way to control the amount of degrees the rear wheels actually turn with increasing speeds....the faster you go the less they actually turn in rear to keep you from spinning out ...you dont get everything exactly perfect with what you plan on doing you can really do some serious damage to yourself and others..


why dont you just use the z32 setup its awesome it will take some money but your gunna have the work so go for it..

and offtopic but damn it says in my AV that i joined this site this month but i been a member i just havent posted anything in months lol

the way i see it i will sumhow make a speed limiter for the aws ,say once the vehicle reach speesd past 40 the rear wheels autostraighten and the car becomes fornt wheel steering only like regular then when it goes back under 40 it goes back into 4wheel steering mode,
becuase if u think abou it when going as faster speeds if you are to turn the all 4 wheel it would be way easier to roll the car

yah tahst why the 300zx TT turns certain degrees aat certain speeds teh faster you go ofcourse they turn less ..... how do you plan on controlling all of this are you planning on fabricating everything or you going to part something out and fabricate the system into yours?

i plan an fabbing what needs to be fabbed and reusing whatever i can keepstock,
ive also been thinking here lately about a rear engine setup... and running 4wd also but that means way more planning id want the tranny in front of the car to more even out the weight and the thing is the drive shaft would go up to the tranny into the 4wheel diffthing back to the rear wheels and also to the front wheels i just have a feeling doing a setup lke that would creat alot of power loss becuase of how long the driveshafts would have to be also more weight yadda yadda yadda....lol

car has tranny out all interior out engine ready to come out (no suitable place to put it yet) and i just started leveling out the ground today to build a 20x20 garage to work in.next weeknd ill have the concrete man come lay me a foundation then next weekend work on the walls lol privacy fence and the roof will be a tarp sounds kinda cheesy but i only make so much money a week and im trying to save it all for the z
