The 240Z / 260Z engine bay is about as basic as it gets...

Have you tried looking at the FSM / Haynes manual? We could explain every part in the engine bay, it it would take a long time to type, and since you are asking this uber basic grandma (please take no offense) question, telling you the part names probably wouldn't help anyway.

I suggest getting cozy with the FSM: www.xenons30.com/reference

Smile no offense taken

as mentioned before, i am no mechanic, no offense taken. ive been looking thru the manual prior to the post. just couldnt find like an overview look of the whole bay. obvious slave cylinders and others are not the issue. i have seen other engine bays that have stuff mine dont and i cant find out what it was i was missing. i shall continue to browse the internet.
