Life goes on....
I gotta say.... visiting this forum, which is rare for me as of the last few years, is interesting. Life happens, we grow old and other things take priority... House, wifey, kids(dogs)....My Z is still waiting for me but not for much longer. Ive gone the way of some gear heads and decided to professionalize in auto related industry. Getting an AS degree in Machine technology with a focus on fab work, CNC and CAD. In addition im getting certed in MIG, TIG, Oxy-Aceteline and SMAW welding.
Got some side work for now welding up an airbag suspension on a classic Volvo wagon...trying to get my hands on anything i can to make monies.
Soon it will be time to tear in to the Z once more and get it back up and legendary. Its hard to believe how long its been. The car has come in to classic age and its nice to know i still have one of them.
To all of you that still have a runner, a rusty bucket or trailer queen- i say congrats and keep them alive. Do your best to preserve and enjoy these amazing pieces of history.
The only way i would have it.....doing it my-damn-self. I dont just drop it off at a shop with a picture in hand of someone else's rig and say "copy that".... like some local, flamboyantly lame "heated" party goers might do

Nice to hear from you apollo. I sure wish I could have gone to that MSA show in '07. But things got in the way. I still drive my '82 slicktop every week. Just not everyday. I always plan on keeping Z cars in my life.
Keep us updated on your Z's progress. And good luck bro'
