Wtb. Complete ignition switch and door and hatch locks

Not a lot of response here on the site. By now, you have discovered car-part.com where you sort the search results by distance from your zip - and drive to the nearest recycler lot to check out the corpses. Zs from the 70s are rare - and getting rarer every year - but some are still out there. Check that site and maybe your recycler will send you some fotos of what he has there. You never know. You need to start mining your best resource right now. Zs from the 70s are taking up valuable yard space and are headed for the cruncher.
I'm sure aftermarket or compatible OEM ignition switches are still available. Google and Amazon.

Yeah, problem seems to be the age of that Z. Not even a good corpse listed at the recyclers around here.
Check out compatible sets. You can do that by taking the locks out of the car and taking good photos of them - with dimensions added to the fotos. If you circulate that kind of info, somebody will have an aftermarket lock that will fit.
Another way would be to have a good locksmith rebuild the locks you have. They can re-key them at the same time. My experience with locksmiths around here tells me that they aren't too expensive. Smart people when it comes to getting locks to work right.
