Traded in the Z for an M3 today...

It was kinda sad to let the Z go, but I'm in love with the new machine already. Today I picked up a 2004 BMW M3 coupe!!!
I got a pretty good deal on the trade-in for the Z and I was very impressed with the M3 right away. This thing is FAST! It's Jet Black with black leather interior, SMG (paddle shifters baby!), and all sorts of goodies. Here's some crappy night pictures, I'll get some good ones tomorrow.

Lol! I love that ///M3.

Come to think of it, that M3 "fits" you better than the Z.

Glad you got a E46. The E36's are dogs. I test drove a 330i and a Z4 yesterday. They only had autos for test drives, so they were alot slower than the Z. I can't wait to drive a 335i 4 door when they come out.

Well at least you traded the Z for something good! Congrats man, too bad I couldn't afford an M3, or even an M5, right now. Probably can't for a few more years!

The SMG tranny is strange: drives like a stick in that it hesitates between gears. It's really a manual with dual automatic clutches, I think. Pretty cool.
Here's a couple of daytime pics...

Very nice choice.... I have a few friends out in OC that have M3's and M5's ... If you decide to do anything to it, an old buddy of mine has a shop that does just BMWs in Orange County... (Mostly M3's)

I'm not sure how fast the E36 M3 is on the drag strip but they make spectacular track cars. Very well balanced and an absolute blast to drive on a road course!.

A SRT-4 is just a souped up Neon, an EVO is just a souped up Lancer, an STI is just a souped up Impreza, an M3 is just a souped up 3 series, a 350Z is a true sports car.
Hmmm... you were saying? ^^^ Lol...

Congrats on the buy!!! How much did you get her for/ what are your payments, if any? I love the M3, even though in Summerlin they are a dime a dozen its weird, and would love to have one.

Truth be told, even though I am excited for the GTR I can't wait until the new M3 comes out and will more than likely look into getting one further down the road.

Any plans on modding the M. I know it will prob. be $$$ but well worth it!
