Today

Wel i think i figured out my hesitation on my 280zx #3 injector isn't firing and its not the wiring. its one of my brand new injectors haha, actually the first new set 4 of them didn't work so i guess one is better. Anyway since i have to get a new injector so i thought we'd take a weekend off from that and work on the Z31 thats been sitting for a couple years since we got it. we got all the cooling system changed out and running again and drove it around the block, but the stereo kept shorting out the dash. So we parked it and today we pulled the stereo out and found out that it has been spliced in about a million places. since the car was stolen and someone started stripping it all the after market stuff that was spliced in was gone, so all the wires we pulled out. were gonna replace the stereo harness, along with all the bulbs in the compass gage set. We also replaced the compass accel gage since they broke it when they stole the car. We have a wider set of tires that need to be mounted on the car and now a full size spare, forget messing with that stupid space saver. next weekend were going to victorville to the ecology to see if we can find an interior so we can wrap ours up and get it registered and drivable. even as wore out as it is its still an awesome car to drive and it hauls ***. The one thing we have yet to figure out is the alarm for some reason since the car was stolen the alarm wont arm or disarm like its supposed to, and when it goes off the horn doesn't honk intermittently and the lights don't blink they just stay on.... we have a few more wires that have been cut off but we're getting the stock connectors from junkyards and splicing them back in and putting everything back. soon enough it'll be fun to drive! I'm soo excited! I love Z cars!

The car when we picked it up, oh and the poor smashed/stripped s130 parts car

The destroyed interior

Motor when we got it missing lots of parts

ya all the parts from there saved the car. The rest came from a buddy of mine who had his car stolen and didn't wanna deal with it afterward but his insurance didn't pay to fix it... his loss my gain! THis was the car a few days later from the outside. but its been about a year since that picture was taken

yeah ^^^^ my dad helped sooo much with the engine harness, then bitched a fit till i was in depression.... twice.... almost sold the car, then i said screw him and finished her by myself, now that it runs great its a huge in your face and he doesnt talk **** no more, lol.... idk, strange stuff. he's always been good for advice on the car at least seeing as how he owned a brand new one back in 78 and his dad owned a gas/service station adn all his brothers owned a Z and one brother built adn raced stock cars for a while, guess cars and Z's are in teh family

Ya we get along pretty good when it comes to cars, they're liek the one thing in our lives that allow us to slow down and relax and fix things. Its like riddlin for kids with add cars are our riddlin and the trouble shooting is half the fun!

Ya so today instead of going to victorville we went to sunland and went to the huge pick a part. and while were were there i saw the most depressing thing ever. The most perfect s30 you've ever seen..... sitting on stands in the junk yard being picked apart by vultures. I sware this car had 32000 miles on it paint had very few blemishes interior wasn't stained just a little dirty from sitting. the motor man was sooo clean and i walked up to a compete car and when we walked back 20 minutes later WTF!!! half the car was gone! DEPRESSING!!!!
