A co-worker of mine. He has a yellow EVO 8. He did all the mods except change the turbo with 21psi and he got it tune last 2 week ago. He got more lot of power now. He want to race with my cobra so i said "Are you SURE?" He said,Yes he should beat me or STI one of his friend.............. I told him ok let's do it on freeway.

Result from a roll 45mph...........i looked at the rear mirror. He just disappear in a sec. We did only one because its too ugly. After the race we stoped at gas station he told me DAMM!!! i fell like my car stoped on the freeway.LOL I told him let's do it next time after you get a new turbo and put more boost. He said forget it he knew even if his car make 400 or even 500whp he still can not beat me..........LOL and i also asked him about STI one of his friend. He said **** forget about it!

Out of curiosity -- how much power are you making and how much money did it take to get you there?

Last time(11/09/2005) i dyno with the same engine(Billet Big Bore&Storker 324cu.in. Darton Sleeves) with 100% stock SC 10psi Leaking Head Gasket on Driver Side and stock clucth, we smell the clucth burn while we dyno it got so hot anyway this is what i got 525.88rwhp and 651.67rwtq. Tires spin on the Dyno with 28" Drag Redial!!!

Now this car got redone everythings but still has 100% stock SC(1.7L) 10psi. I'm waiting for a new 3.4L Big Bore SC come out and i going to run on the street 18psi(should make around 800rwhp and over 900rwtq) and at the track 26psi(should make around 1,000-1,100rwhp and over 1,200rwtq) but this motor can go over 2,000hp. A guy got as same as mine with 98mm turbo 40psi made over 1,800rwhp ran 7s in 1/4mile. But i'm not that crazy!

I spend :-

-Motor around $15,000(Done).
-Suspension around $5,000(Done).
-Cooling System(Engine & SC) around $3,000(Done).
-New 3.4L SC around $5,000(In process).
-Fuel System around $2,000(In process).
-Tranny i'm not sure what i want for over 1,000rwtq(In process).
-Drive Train(Rear Axles) around $2,500(In process).
-SFI 25.5 Mustang Roll Cage Kit around $3,000(In process)

My goal is a 8s car daily drive with A/C have to this is Vegas! Car weigh not over 3,000lbs w/o driver. Also it have to be able to go Cali and back to Vegas w/o no problem!

Yes, but both his and your car have been re-done since then. His is now automatic and has a built motor to handle more boost. His car had a stock motor and a stick when that thread was posted.

If you look at the date i was racing with him was 10/02/05 and i dyno 11/09/05 its the day found out my car had a leaking head gasket and much over power for a stock clutch.

Now my car should make much more hp and tq from no leaking head gasket, new clutch,better cooling system and lil higher compression. Oh better suspension and this time with 26" Drag Redial too.

Dammm i still waiting on a 3.4L SC. Can you imagine a car weigh less than 3,000lbs with over 900rwtq(18psi only)!

How much more rwhp you have to have to catch up me and you still have to pass me to be a winner.

Trust me, his car's much quicker now (almost 2 seconds quicker in the 1/4). I know you're making more power now, that's why I want you two to run 'em. I'm pretty sure he'll go from a dig or on the highway. He's also running 26" tires and has stock front rims (no skinnies). I'll probably bring the bike out too, since I wanna see how his car does against it.

sounds like we have a race in the works here...lets set it up.....or you could run them at the next midnight mayhem....and if you wait till after the 13th Stan will have his Z s/c and I know he want to run REALLY BAD..lol...(I would be the same way Stan, lol)....so someone let me know....we could make it a Midnight Mayhem dinner and drag night?
