A little birdie told me....

- Edited -

Apparently, every Sunday morning out on (insert location here), abunch of cars get together and race down the (insert type of road here). Not just any cars, but Lambo's, Ferrari's, Porsche's, Cobra's, Vipers, etc. I am going to go out there this Sunday am to see if I can get myself a piece of a Lambo or Ferrari. Any FI'ers want to join me?

I live right there and have never seen that. It must be REALLY early because for a while I was going there every Sunday morning in the Chevelle to go cruise through Red Rock and get breakfast in Bonnie Springs.

Well now that its on the board i dont think anyone will be going there anymore... Cops check these boards too btw.

I posted a highspeed run a few times on another board for a local sport bike crew here in town and NHP was out there waiting for me. :-/ We postponed and did it a few weeks later and i hit 170MPH on the 636 :-).

Good. Street racing is dangerous. I can't imagine that all of the drivers in those high horsepower cars are actually qualified to drive them at high speeds.

As far as cops, this was actually told to the birdie by a cop who races his Mustang Cobra out there. I guess it takes place at about 7-8 in the morning. That being said, I know street racing is dangerous WHEN THERE ARE OTHER CARS ON THE ROAD, but doing it that early, there are usually no cars there. And I think that this board is kind of unique because it is hidden in a national board, so who knows. Obviously if there are a few troopers hanging around Sunday, I will be just driving by like I am cruising through. ANd which one of you has never hit 100+ on the freeway when no one was looking? NONE!

We really don't like people posting the location on public forums. If you could edit your post, it'd be appreciated. Could someone also edit the quote in "ra2289"'s post? Thanks. Law enforcement isn't the issue, most of them know about it. We just don't want every ricer in Vegas congregating out there. The fact that it's low key is why we don't get hassled.

As far as the safety issue, most of the guys out there are or have been professional drivers.

I did not realize this was such a touchy subject that needed to be kept on the DL. Sorry, for that. Delete the entire thread if need be.

You can't edit or delete your own posts after a certain amount of time.

Thanks for the edit.

Oohhh, got it...it was edited before I got the chance to, but the option wasn't available so I wouldn't have been able to do it anyway. It was edited by ensmuns...
