Might have a new hookup on powdercoating and chroming.

Was talkin to my stepdad this afternoon about how I am gonna get my rims powdercoated black or redone in the same color and get my chrome lips repolished. He tells me that one of the guys in my mom and his motorcycle club does it as a profession. He is gonna get a hold of him tomorrow to see what he would charge to do it, and if he could give any discount to a massive amount of things needing some powdercoating. Guess you could call it a group buy on powdercoating LoL. Will update as sooon as he finds out some prices and what he can do.

Any takers? So far there seems to be about 24 rims that might be heading down his way from my old VW people.

Gotta know what parts you want done and in what color

I really want to get my plenum and wheels done, but I really don't think I will be able to handle the down time again. When my tranny was broken it was hell with just hte Pathfinder. I will see, what dates are we looking to do this?

Well right now I am trying to get the VW crew in town to get alot of work down. That way when the Vegas Z guys go down there and say hey Mike sent me down here, he already has had many referals from me and gives you guys a better deal. He told me yesterday that another thing he could do is store a bag of powder for exlucsive use by the 350Z club. He gets better rates if he buys in bulk so instead of paying 25 for a 5 pound bag (which gets you 60 pounds for $300) he can purchase a 100 pound bulk bag for $300. He says the club could purchase a bulk bag and have him store it there at the shop. If he had to use some of the 350Z bag he would refund the approx. amount he used out of the bag. Only thing is that powder only has a shelf life of 4-6 months before it begins to get contaminated. So that bag would have to be used up before the time is up.

You can go down and get anytime youd like and get work done, I would just have to call him and let him know whats comin and that you need the hot discount I'm probably going to be going down in the next 3 months for my wheels because i'm prolly gonna drop around 550 on this group buy of the spacer and mrev2.

He says he normally charges around 65 for a 19" wheel. He said he could do a 20% discount on jobs, if I heard him right. (He was driving when I was talkin to him) So that would come out to around 45-48 a wheel. I'm going to call him again tomorrow and get all the details crystal clear.

Also something else that he told me is that he guarantees all of his work for 1 year. So if it stars to peel or anything like taht during normal wear n tear washing he will redo it for free. He said if you have an unfortunate event, like hitting a 2x4 on the highway or getting rock chips and stuff like that, he wont do it again for free...BUT will definately give you a huge break on the price just because you used him in the first place.
