so i take my car into desert nissan to replace my caliper mounting bolt and get my engine belts replaced not knowing at the time that i know more about a car than most of the technicians in the back. so i get my car today and everything seems to be going fine until i hear a grinding sound coming from my caliper and so i take it to my job where we put it up on a lift and notice that the spring clip in between my pad and caliper is gently grinding on my rotor its pretty f-in obviuos if u ask me... in the end i got a free repair and a discount on my next service but i doubt ill be taking it there ever again. just thought id share that experience with you guys

Why would you bring it in for a little bit of simple work. If you bring it to a stealership for small stuff , it always seems soon down the road it needs to be brought to them for big stuff.

 

i brought it in simply because i don't have tools or time to do it myself
