Z32 Power Steering issue

I have a '93 Z32, N/A, coupe. The steering feels 'funcky'. When you make a turn, it feels as if the power steering is activating and de-activating. Its like it 'kicks in and out'. Is this the power steering pump or in the rack and pinion system.
Appreciate your help in this matter.

I'm no expert in power steering. But I had the same thing happen on my truck once. I flushed, bled and refilled my PS system. It fixed my problem. Otherwise, I'd bet you're going to have to replace the pump.

My Nissan does that when the fluid gets low (PS system leak). Check your fluid level first, but if it's low it must have gone somewhere. Hope it's something simple like a leak in a hose!

don't forget the Z32 takes ATF instead of PS fluid.
