Wheels for sale

A friend of mine is selling a set of 2002 Mitsu Lancer "Oz edition" wheels for $125/set, plus shipping (most of you are probably close enough to manage local pickup though). The wheels are 15x6" and have pretty worn tires.

Why am I putting this on a Z board? Well, the wheels have a 4x114.3mm (that's 4x4.5") bolt pattern, which is the same as the 4-bolt Zcar pattern. Offset is +46mm and the centerbore is 67.1mm.

240z-280zx would probably require a large spacer however, and early 4-bolt 300zx may or may not get away with using these wheels without a spacer. If any of you are real serious about wanting them though, I could take my 200sx over there and try the wheels on for you and take pics. The 200sx is practically identical to the Z31 in terms of what will fit; I'm currently using Enkei-type 15x7's from a Z31 on it.

Here's more details:

I'm putting this in our section rather than classifieds because it's local and if any of you wanted them, you could probably avoid shipping costs. Plus, I know I never check these classifieds :-P

Let me contact Nathan (current wheel owner) and see if they're still sitting in his garage.

The offset on these wheels is +46mm, whereas most aftermarket wheels for the Z are 0 offset (like your chrome wheels probably are). The stock 280ZX alloys I think are on the order of +12mm offset. You'll need to have a spacer thick enough to space the wheel back out to where it belongs on a ZX...for example, a 46mm (1.8 inch) spacer would give you effectively 0 offset, while 46-12=34mm (1.3 inch) would be the 12mm offset of a stock ZX alloy.

These are some pretty thick spacers, they'd end up probably having to be "adapter-style" where you bolt the adapter to the hub, and the adapter itself has its own studs poking out that the wheel actually bolts to. Spacers such as this would probably allow you to use some Honda Accord aftermarket wheels; if you plan to upgrade again in the future, you should probably plan now and research the offsets of other wheels you'd like to use.

Just FYI, I'd imagine the spacers will cost you as much as these wheels! Unless you make good friends with, or you are, a machinist. See Bill's yellow turbo car for a similar setup, maybe ask where he got his

Thx

Thankyou for the Information, Im sure that I would be able to find the spacers. Either way paying 125 for a set of wheels and 125 ish for some spacers still a good deal for some wheels.

yeah those are pretty nice wheels... if they were a few inches bigger they would look sweet with some low profile tires...I'd like to get some 17's on my car .. it's just got the stock wheels with stock hubs

Ya

Ill buy them and then find spacers i dont think it will be that hard, and a 15 inch Rim is a good sizes I liek havening a meaty tire it might be better if they were 15x7 or mabey 2 of them 15x6 and the rear two 15x11 heheheheeh that would be sweet...

Let me check out the other fourm and Ill post one hear if i can figure it out.

OK i read the Details on the clemson fourm there,I didnt see anyhting about whom to contact so if you want to give me that information, that would be cool... Im kinda hoping to take my El Camino and just driver over there so if you could help me out with who i need to talk to that would be Great.

I'll try to put you in contact with Nathan then.

Note to Bryan or anyone else, another friend is now selling some 82-3 280ZXT swastika-style wheels, the tires are supposed to be pretty dead and the wheels themselves could be cleaned up, but they look pretty sharp to me from afar...he pretty much just wants offers made. He's got some other 240SX stuff too.
