Location of Blower Relay

Location of Blower Relay

Having a problem with my 86 300ZX's blower - not sure about the location of the blower relay. There are several relays nder the hood - but the marking have been lost to time.

I'm thinking there is no relay for it...it's run off a fuse, but no relay. What is the problem?

If it will run on high, but not on levels 1-3, you most likely have a bad resistor card.

Yes there is. It's in the bank just above the fuse panel.(drivers feet) Second going from right to left as you're facing bank.

Found it - seems to be working intermittently when I tested it so I replaced it. Not sure if the blower control is now fixed as I'm waiting for the fan control amplifier from the dealer - it fell apart when I pulled it.

Good info, I am probably going to need a blower motor amp, based on the trouble shooting I have initiated based on these forums, so far. I am having an extremely difficult time finding the part though. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I have a 1986 300zx (non-turbo), base model coupe (not 2x2), automatic transmission, manual climate control.

Just found one in NC. Vintage Z Parts.
