n00b, '89 Z31 wipers no worky
Hi, first time user, here's the deal: friend of mine has an '89 Z and his wipers don't work...at all. He says they simply stopped working. No intermittents, no low, no high, nothing. Kaboom, kaput. I scanned through your search engine, but found nothing related. I know Sentras and Pulsars inside-out, but the Z looks like a battlefield.
Asked the owner of the car if he checked the fuse; he said he did, perfectly fine. We swapped out the wiper motor and switch...nothing. Now it comes down to two players before wiring gets suspected: the relay and the wiper module. I can't find either on this da*n thing. Somebody told me the wiper module box was located on the steering column under all that plastic above the knees, is this true? As far as the relay: I looked everywhere under the hood, saw nothing that said "Wiper" on any relay cover. All I need to know is where to locate the wiper relay and wiper module box, I can pretty much figure out the rest. Any help would be both welcome and very appreciated, thanks!

so 3-4 days ago I jumped in and started my 79 up and had this same problem. They had worked just fine the last time I was in the car and now nothing (as well as my turn signals no longer working) I know that there is a 10 year difference between the cars, but........what was the fix for your friends car?
