Well, okay... maybe not because we didn't actually all get to see this one get put together, but I stumbled across this tonight, and I thought that I should share this beautiful piece of work with you all. 
Apparently this belongs to Johannes Heidal, where he is from, or who he is, I have no idea, I found this image in the Arizona Z Car customer showcase. This is just such an amazing sight to see, it inspires my mind to get out & start ripping apart the engine bay of my car....

I was thinking the same thing, maybe if it were actually rounded vs. straight angled, it'd flow a little more, near as I can tell, He's using a vette/camaro Lt1 (52mm, or 58mm) TB, and all the oiling/cooling lines have been made with what looks like steel hard-line. over all, I'm eager to see how a set up like this would perform, i.e. turbo lag, throttle response, overall power, accelleration, ect...

Johannes died in a boating exident juli 2010,
som of his friends and his broders got to gether an finishd the car on onor of Johannes Heidal.
Johannes was from the west of Norway, a very skilld mekanic, he loved this car and his boat.
