Understandable bro', people sometimes can take things the wrong way. And then it gets blown out of proportion. I think it is a great idea like I said, and I appreciate your hard work and effort, you have put into this site.

Yowsa! I take a trip to Vegas & the site changes! So have we established a set dollar fee? Also, I noticed that the "members online" list is gone from the homepage.... is that a temp thing / premium thing?

you arent missing anything if you dont pay. its more of a donation kinda thing. the little "perks" the premium guys get are nothing a free member is going to miss at all. the site wont be any different than it has been if you dont want to join, none of us want that to happen.

hey, maybe we should change what we call the premium membership. i think a lot of people tend to be turned off by the premium thing. and our permium is a bit different than other sites premium memberships. i think people may get the feeling they are missing out on some of the site by not being premium. i think that could be solved by changing "premium member" to something like "site supporter" or "site benefactor". something along those lines anyways.

I agree, this is the kind of feedback I need. I'll change some of the names to reflect more of what this is about, premium is a bit "snooty" isn't it hehe.

Thanks guys.

...... much better, and a "look what you get for your support" statement. Not subscription either.

I've got a 30 year collection of hat pins from a motorsport related PAC. They show up with the annual renewal. I see that "member for xx years" on the pin and think, man I've been donating for a long time, as I write out another check for $25.

Here's a screenshot. There used to be a "members online" list where the circle is.... It's nice to see who is online.

you know, now that i think of it, anyone remember the old points system? You recieved meaningless points for posting and starting threads, just basic participation. haha that was fun.
i dont want to make my own name. thats to much pressure, i like how i say one thing and shizzam, a little anecdote that appeared unexpectedly under my name, its both humorous and surprising. makes me feel good inside to lol. i mean look at that....virgin eared.... hahhaha. ok not that hilarious, but i did laugh. plus you gotta feel special once you see that little thing poped up under your name, its like a sense of accomplishment that you left a dent in someones memory enough for them to give you a title of some sort.

just stick something like "donating member" under the user names of the people who've contributed. I think the people that are going to contribute should be given a little credit. They're are after all, taking that little extra step to keep our site going.

I would gladly help support the site by paying a few bucks for an upgraded membership. I think it's a good way to keep it moving forward. Us die-hards can really make a difference if we chip in a little. I know I've gotten a lot of help and benefit from this site and I don't mind giving a little back. My car is alive today because of this place

Rod.

I am going to switch it to something more appropriate, I just need to get that done. I'm a bit backed up and need a few days off from workin on the site.
