My new car: a step up from the Z

Check out my new car, which I took for a little wine country drive this last weekend. ^_~

(Yes, yes, I know the engine bay's dirty. It is "used" with about 6700 miles.)

And here's a short video of the mountain run. Man, I wish the camera could get across the splendid noise the V10 makes when it blips the throttle on the downshift. http://myspacetv.com/index.cfm?fusea...deoid=32344604

No...but driving one of these things sure makes you feel like one!

Haha, well anyways, I guess this' gone on long enough. Time to come clean: I didn't actually buy the Lambo. I signed up to drive five supercars around, touring the backroads of Napa. It's not exactly cheap, but I figure it was either this or driving school. Man, it was an eye opening experience.

I drove all five cars in the following order:
1. Callaway C16 - just plain fast
2. Ferrari F430 - I'd always dismissed this car as just another regular Ferrari in the line of the 355 and 360. But hands-down, this was THE BEST driving experience I've ever had! The sound it makes when you open the throttle is just orgasmic, haha. And the solid handling allowed me to take turns at speeds I would otherwise have been too afraid to. And best of all, the engine response and neck-snapping acceleration are just a cut above anything else. I hate to admit it, but Ferrari really is building supercars on a whole new level.
3. Ferrari 599 - I was looking forward to driving the Mercedes McLaren SLR they had there, but it was for the afternoon session, so we got this instead. I just didn't feel the 599 was as fun as the F430.
4. Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera - this was my 2nd favorite car. It made a splendid "vroom" noise as it blips the throttle when you downshift. The only thing that ruins this car is the brakes. You start pressing the brake peddle, and it's like, nothing...nothing...bam-your-face-comes-off.
5. Porsche 911 Turbo cabriolet - it was nimble through narrow mountain roads, but it was actually kind of quiet, so it didn't "feel" as fast (haha, well I guess it was the "weakest" car there!)

they gave you a lame porsche compared to the others. just a normal 911 trbo or a GT2 or 3 would have been better imo

It was a Turbo. But yeah, it did feel a bit less special since all Porche's pretty much look alike, and therefore you see them everyday.
