check this cool car out u guys lol http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Datsu...00863773QQrdZ1 is this for real ? lol
I dont know about you guys, but something aint right. It says it has a clean title and in my opinion it looks to have been in a front end colision that required most of the body pannels to be replaced and most likely a lot of the unibody.Cutting, welding, pulling . . . .
Probably better off as a donor car

I hate to break it to ya, but there is no LOL about that car. Sure it looks to be in pretty crappy shape, but the ZXR is for real. It was a limited edition run. The wing is mainly whats so special about that car. Those are hard to come by but I don't know that one in that poor of shape is worth it. But hey, if it stays low like that and someone fixes it up then you'd have a piece of Z history. Thats the car that led to the ZX's legendary racing career. And no, it's not a type R, just ZXR.
Wow! Too bad about that front end. If it were still all original, I'd be bidding on it right now. As it is, it is basically worthless. They're only collectible if they are intact. Hey J, Nice blurb about the legendary racing career though... You speak true my friend.

I did a little more looking at the car in the add. That thing is just flat out thrashed. There is nothing left of that car to restore. It is a lost cause. Anybody who buys that thing with the hope of doing a restoration on it is either filthy rich or a complete fool. It would take untold thousands of dollars to get that thing looking new again and when you were done, it still wouldn't be worth much because it's not original. I should email the guy and tell him I'll give him a hundred bucks for the wing and he can keep the car. That thing had more rust than the surface of Mars. The interior was beyond hope. The front end is from a different car. It's missing one of the original wheels... It's just done. So sad that somebody didn't appreciate that car enough for what it was and its historical significance to keep it somewhat intact and in decent shape. Whover is responsible for letting that car get into the shape it's in now needs to be strung up by their cajones and beat with a sugar cain. No car deserves that kind of mistreatment... Not even a Honda!!!!!

Nissan did not make a Type R. That phrase is for Hondas only!
The Sentra SER is just that. A SER model like the 280ZX is a ZXR model. Not a 280ZX Type R.
If you put the wing and stripes on your car it will look like a 280ZXR but only 1979 cars with a certain VIN number are true ZXRs. Back then all were hard tops. So your car with T-tops will be a dead giveaway, FAKE! The engines were the same non-turbo as any other 1979-80 280ZX. Dropping a turbo engine into any Z-car does make it a turbo car even though it was not a turbo from the factory. You are just talking about making a fake 'rare model' look alike. You can do it and leave your car turbo too... if you want. You can't buy those stripes though or it would be easy to restore a ZXR. You'll have to custom paint them on. If you want that rear spoiler, just buy the rear spoiler. You don't have to make your car look like a ZXR...
I think you should buy the rear spoiler, install it, and then go to Shuck's auto and buy the biggest TYPE R emblems you can find and put them on each fender and the back of your car. That will be cool.

Not only that but it doubles your horsepower.....it's true.
Now then, looking at the interrior pic of the car am I the only one that thinks this thing has spent some time underwater or at least left out in the rain unprotected for a few seasons?
that ZX-R wing might almost be worth what it's selling for. well, not quite 500 bucks, but a good one will go for 350 or so. I think thats how much HeatRaveR ended up winning his for. I bid on it, but got a little too high for me
